4th of July at Camp Thurman

The boys spent one week during their summer playing outside at Camp Thurman (Nate for halfdays, Trey for full day.) They learned about Jesus, swam a lot and came home muddy each day.
Here's Nate at his camp site. His counselors were "Bluetooth," "Nucleus" and "Sully."
Here's Trey's camp site.
Trey and one of his best buddies, Matthew, as they head off to swim.
This is Danielle "Allergy" - a camp counselor and one of the members of our youth group.

4th of July at Camp Thurman

Our All-American baby girl
All of the campers gathered in "The Gulley" for an impressive flag ceremony. We all sang God Bless the USA and other patriotic songs...
and then four camp counselors came zipping down the zipline carrying flags over the crowd. It was very cool.
Here's our Yankee Doodle Dandy

Nate's week of Nature School

Nate had a week of classes at Nature School at River Legacy Science Center in Arlington. His class learned about "Winged Things."

Here Nate is saying "Rarrrr," Trey's just being cute and Kathryn is wearing a big floppy sunhat.
Nate is wearing his Batman pajamas as he makes a bat in class. He refused to get out of his pajamas that day - it was a happy coincidence.

This is the actual model used in the movie - it looks huge on screen but not so huge in person.
